How to Choose RFID Tags, Handheld Readers, and Fixed Readers

What conditions are the selections to be concerned with?

  • Material, size and label location of identified items
  • Single- or mass-reading, and the distance to read.
  • Moved inventory, found goods, or fixed-point automatic collection
  • Existence of metal, liquid, shield or high-density stacking on site

How to determine the equipment mix

Handheld terminals are suitable for mobile inventory, inspection and search of goods; fixed RFID Reader is suitable for continuous automatic collection points such as entrances, corridors and production lines.

The labels, antennas, RFID Reader and the location of the installation will have a combined effect on the reading, and it is recommended that the sample be tested using real objects before it is shaped.
